In working together to set up BigFish our aim was simple – to create the best business improvement tools available, with material relevant to the client and accessible at the point of need, using both existing and emerging technology. The technology part is central to our mission, allowing us to build in interactivity into our tools for a hands-on presenter-led learning experience, that demystifies improvement knowledge, skills and understanding.
The overall result is that we have created relevant materials, and built an environment for you to get questions answered and receive the support you need to keep your improvement journey on track.
And because we all need to make sense of what we are seeing in the context of what we know. Whether it’s in Teachpoints, online or at the academy, we always present our knowledge in the context of your industry and only use examples relevant to your business activity. We believe that this improves the ability to understand and apply the learning and also helps to sell the idea internally within your organisation.
So, the BigFish system was born and is a combination of interactive learning delivered via our Teachpoints; it’s a professional networking site to support learning, trouble shoot improvement issues and stimulate debate about improvement techniques. We also have an academy offering higher-end support for those charged with delivering improvement within their organisation. We believe by making all of these methods of support available to our members we have by the very nature of continuous improvement created a new and innovative way of delivering improvement techniques to business.
